What is Pupil Premium Funding?
Pupil Premium Funding was introduced by the Government to enable schools to tackle inequalities between specific groups of children. The amount of Pupil Premium Funding allocated to a school is dependent upon the number of pupils eligible to receive Free School Meals (FSM) and Looked After Children (LAC). Pupil Premium Funding is also allocated for pupils who have parents currently serving in the Armed Forces. The number includes all those children who have been eligible in the last 6 years, known as “ever 6” children as well as those eligible this school year.
