Introducing Seesaw at St Paul's Primary School

Welcome to our digital learning platform, Seesaw! We are excited to share with you how Seesaw can enhance your child's learning journey, in school and at home, and provide you with real-time access to their progress.

Welcome to Seesaw

Seesaw is a user-friendly platform that allows teachers to create and share digital portfolios, and assign and assess activities seamlessly. As a parent, you can view your child's activities, and feedback from teachers, and see how they are progressing, all in one place.

What is Seesaw?

Seesaw is an APP where pupils, parents and teachers can share work and announcements/information in a safe, secure and private social network environment. This APP allows us to share information, ideas and media with all our families collectively and also to send to individual pupils.

More information can be found at https://seesaw.com/international-privacy-policy/

How does Seesaw work?

Seesaw is a platform for student engagement that inspires students of all ages to do their best. Students use creative tools to take pictures, draw, record videos and more to capture learning in a portfolio. Teachers find or create activities to share with students. Each student has a unique learning Home Learning Code to access Seesaw. When signing in with the Home Learning Code students can post to their journal, respond to activities, and view classroom announcements. Students do not see the work of any other student in the class.

We understand that as a parent, you want to stay informed and involved in your child's education. Seesaw provides you with the opportunity to do just that. You can see what your child is working on in class, how they are progressing, and even provide feedback to their teacher.

With its easy-to-use interface and powerful features, Seesaw creates a more collaborative and connected learning environment for students, teachers, and parents alike.

We invite you to explore Seesaw and see for yourself how it can benefit your child's education. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher to ensure you have the correct access.

Thank you for your continued support in your child's education, and we look forward to working together to help them succeed.

Common questions.

How do I login to Seesaw?

You can access Seesaw for free on any platform (laptop, iPhone, Android, iPad). If you are using a mobile device please download the latest version of the app.

What are the differences between the 'family login' and 'home learning' login?

Family login

Families can view and engage with all recent posts from your own child. You cannot respond to homework or post to the student journal using this login. You can how to connect multiple children to your account.

Homelearning code

This is the login that is specific to your child. Here they will be able to access their journal and respond to the activities they do for homework. At school, we use Seesaw across a range of subjects including non-core learning to capture the learning pupils have been doing. Any homework assigned will be clearly labeled.

Why can I not see homework on my login?

Make sure you are using the homelearning code your child has been given.

Parent Letter May 2025

Dear Parent,

As part our development to move to a more technology-based learning approach, our year 4, 5 and 6 classed are going to be using an online tool called Seesaw, it’s a secure online learning journal where children can create and upload their work to document their learning.

Over time, your child and the class teacher will add things like photos, videos, worksheets, drawings and voice recordings to their Seesaw journal.

Once the children and staff have this up and running in school, we will send out home log ins. If you choose, you can also sign up for a free Seesaw family account, download the family app to your phone (giving you access to your child’s learning journal) and choose to be notified when your child adds new content.

Seesaw journals are private and only accessible by the teacher, students, and parents.

It is a requirement of Seesaw’s terms and conditions that we gain parental permission to use their platform, and we would like to do that now.

Seesaw has a thoroughly robust privacy policy https://app.seesaw.me/about/privacy  and has committed never to share your child’s personal information or journal content.

You can learn more about Seesaw by visiting http://web.seesaw.me/  We will also be having parent sessions once we are up and running with the parent home aspect of this.

Please complete the permission form by Monday 12th May for your child to enable us to set up accounts and link this for home learning and parent access in order for you to also be able to share your child’s learning at home. The permission form can be accessed below:

Kind regards,

Mrs Worton-Geer
